I am obsessed with Instagram. It is such a fun way to capture shots of life. Whether it’s a special moment, a seemingly small detail, or a source of inspiration, it’s so fun to be able to look back at all the little things that I could so easily forget. And there are more and more ways to use your Instagram, like Stickygram (turning your Instagrams into magnets) or Artifact Uprising (Instagram photo books). I’m thinking these could make some good Valentine’s Day gifts people!
I also love a good trip and exploring new places, so I spontaneously booked the hubby and I a night in Santa Barbara (found a deal on Priceline). He had never been to Santa Barbara before, and my best friend used to live there, so it was so fun to explore the city with all of her good recommendations and enjoy this ridiculously warm, beautiful weather we are having in January! If you don’t follow me on Instagram, here are a few shots from our minication.

We drove onto Stearn’s Pier and soaked up the fresh salt air.

We stayed at the Hyatt and really enjoyed it! Beautiful historic architecture and pool with an ocean view!

A snapshot of us at dinner at Le Cafe Stella, yummy French and American fusion with great atmosphere (If you’re like me, half of dining is about the quality of the food, and the other half is about the atmosphere, at least on a good date!). My husband just shaved his thick beard a few days before this (We called him Baby Brett Keisel), and he looks so much younger without it! He’s three years older than I am, I swear.

Had a delicious iced latte at French Press. Such a good coffee spot- I could read here for hours. Also, the good packaging design that I couldn’t resist taking a shot of.

View on the ride home. I love living in California.
It was a much needed getaway. Where do you go for a minication? Although I had a wonderful time, I am excited to dig into some branding and logo projects I’m working on that I will post about in the not too far-off future!

Looks like a great vacation! I love that you just spontaneously booked it =) I love travelling, but I always forget that sometimes short little trips can do the trick
I know right? We can’t really afford to take a longer vacation right now, but I knew a short getaway would still help. It was my first time booking such a spontaneous trip, but my mom does it all the time, so I thought I’d give it a try. I think it’s good for the soul! Haha
